At Shalford Repair Café, we believe things are worth fixing, and community spirit worth strengthening. We're a friendly bunch of volunteers who love nothing more than tackling a faulty toaster, a wobbly chair, or a favourite jacket that's seen better days..
Through fixing and passing on repair skills, we aim to combat planned product obsolescence, keep waste out of landfill and create a more circular economy that reduces raw material needs and lowers carbon emissions. We hope to empower you with the confidence and self-reliance to fix your own belongings and think critically about current consumer values.
Our monthly café events are part of a growing world movement that says enough with the throwaway culture. Bring us your broken stuff, have a coffee and a cake and we'll do our best to fix it and show you how. Free! Every repair is a small victory for the planet, a saving for you, and a fun way to meet your neighbours and our brilliant local team.

We have been given permission to use the Shalford Village Upper Hall for the Repair Café, where there is lots of free parking.
It will help us to make sure we have fixers on hand to help you when you come if you can book ahead (see panel on right), but this is not essential - just drop in.
Our launch event will be on Sept 12th, so do come along, and bring with you any broken items you have. If you want to be sure we have the right "fixers" available on the day, use the "book in" form here
The Shalford Repair Café will be operating 10:00 - 12:00 on every 2nd Saturday in the month from September 12th 2026
